Will Wearing Sunscreen Make Me Vitamin D Deficient?
July 21, 2010
No. We are able to make vitamin D in our skin in the presence of sunlight, however we also get vitamin D in our diet (fish, seafood, Vit D fortified milk, bread and cereals, mushrooms, egg yolks) and can also get vitamin D through supplements. Sun Exposure-- Part II- What is a Tan?
July 14, 2010
It is really a damage signal—melanin is produced in response to photooxidative stress on the skin’s DNA. And the sun and rays cause damage to the skin’s collagen and elastic fibres creating wrinkles and sagging.

Some reports even go so far as to recommend the discontinuation of sunscreen in order to achieve adequate Vitamin D levels. Some physicians are advocating intentional sun exposure to elevate Vitamin D levels. But dermatologists hav .....
