Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus are cross-linked hyaluronic acid chains that are formulated to be a very soft, pliant gel. Juvederm Ultra is usually used in the lips whereas Ultra Plus can be used to volumize and reflate the face in areas of fat loss such as the brows, forehead, zygomatic area, malar area, nasolabial and melomental folds (marionette lines). Juvederm can also be used to re-contour the chin and the lower face. These substances have been approved by the FDA and Health Canada. Juvederm typically lasts 6-8 months.
