How It Works

Juvéderm Ultra is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally present substance in our skin. The hyaluronic acid chains are cross-linked and are formulated to be a very soft, pliant gel. Juvederm Ultra is now available premixed with lidocaine, a very helpful local anesthetic which makes the injection process more comfortable.

Juvéderm Ultra is usually used in the lips as it is somewhat softer and shorter lasting than its sister product, Juvederm Ultra Plus.
