As we age, soft tissue in the face may diminish, resulting in a thinning of the skin and a loss of firmness, plumpness, and elasticity. This may lead to sagging, sinking, and a general flattening of facial features. Restylane adds volume, which may reduce certain signs of aging and help you to attain a more youthful appearance.

How It Works

Restylane is a laboratory manufactured hyaluronic acid and has been the gold standard injectable soft tissue filler. It is made by a somewhat different laboratory process than the Juvederm group so they are technically classified as a slurry rather than as a gel.  Restylane is used for the same indications as the Juvederm Ultra group.

Restylane can be used to volumize:

• the lips
• nose bridge
• the brows
• the nasal labial folds
• marionette lines
• and smile lines.

Recovery and Results

It has been in proven in many studies to be safe and effective and has been used in over 9 million procedures worldwide since 1996. We have been using Restylane in our Vancouver cosmetic surgery office for many years with fantastic results. Restylane lasts somewhere between 5 to 7 months.
