Cat

RN

Cat has been nursing since 1994. She started at Richmond General Hospital working on the acute medical/surgical floors then moved to VGH where she floated between the Gynecology & Urology surgical floors and the InVitro Fertilization procedure room. Cat joined Dr. Alastair Carruthers at the Skin Care Center in January 1999 and helped launch his cosmetic practice in December 1999. Living in Vancouver, Cat enjoys working out,shopping and traveling.

Sherisse

RN, BSN

Sherisse spent some of her early years in Long Island, New York before moving to beautiful BC. She completed her nursing degree from the University of Victoria in 2002. After nursing school, her area of focus became surgery, and she worked on several wards throughout St. Paul’s Hospital. She joined Dr. Carruthers’ team in 2006 to pursue her passion for the Cosmetic industry. Sherisse’s interests include traveling, working out, and fashion!

Marianna

RN, BSN

Marianna graduated from Kwantlen University College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She started her career on an acute surgical floor and after 3 years she decided to pursue a career in the cosmetic industry. She joined the Carruthers’ team in July of 2008. Marianna enjoys traveling, eating great food and spending time with loved ones!

Kirsten

RN, BScN

Kirsten received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, where she was born and raised. Her background in nursing is primarily in women’s health and maternity, and she was working at BC Women’s hospital prior to commencing her work with Dr. Carruthers in October 2006. She is now studying to receive her Master of Nursing degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at UBC. Kirsten loves to dance, and she also enjoys roller blading the seawall in Vancouver when it isn’t raining!

Helen

RN

Helen began her passion for skin care after receiving her first facial at age 15. She chose to study aesthetics, became certified and joined the Cosmetology Association of British Columbia in 1986. During a 3 year stay in Europe, she further expanded her knowledge and exposure to different methods. Back in Vancouver, she decided to pursue nursing and graduated from Douglas College with honors. As an RN, Helen has served patients and their families in Long Term Care, General Surgery and Orthopedics. In 1999, Helen entered the emerging field of Cosmetic Dermatology. The following year she joined the team at Carruthers where she has been ever since!

Chrissy

BA, Patient Care Coordinator

Chrissy started working with Dr. Alastair Carruthers in March 2005 after finishing her Bachelor of Arts Degree at UCFV. While completing her degree she worked in Co-operative Education at Douglas College and conducted research with the RCMP. Chrissy continues to develop her education while contributing her skills to the Carruthers team.

Jennifer

Executive Personal Assistant

Jennifer has over 13 years of experience as an Executive Assistant. She started her career as an EA in the Energy Division of a large brokerage firm, gained more diverse experience in the Naval Architectural industry and then moved to the Environmental Department of the Port of Vancouver.  Jennifer loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, shopping and working out and has a great love for film.
